With These Hands Poem by Mary Nagy

With These Hands

With these hands
I've held you when you were feeling low.
Hand in hand
I'll walk with you wherever you may go.

Make no demand
I'll always feel the way I do right now.
You help me stand.
With you I feel it all works out somehow.

Not what we planned
or wanted, but yet it feels so right.
With these hands
I'll love you in darkness and in light.

Mary, I've meant to return to your poetry for some time now, and this one makes me glad I did... So beautiful, so warm and meaningful... Thank you. Esther : ]
