With You Poem by Stephenie VanCampJones

With You

Rating: 5.0

Clouds break open against
a painted horizon, spattered
in pastel pinks
and blues.

My eyes are warmed by
molten hues that rise steadily,
above the trees and sway
in melodic rhymthm
As the leaves

whisper to eachother
in the breeze,
birds sing their ballad
of wake up cheer
and praise.

And I just sigh
as your arms tighten
ever so slightly;

Here in your embrace,
it feels as if
you'll never let me go.
