Withered Tree Poem by Eric The Viking

Withered Tree

Like a rain forest inside of me
Foliage covers my heart
Too dense for most to see
My roots they span a thousand lives
Watered by tears flowing many miles
Bark that’s thick, dark, and old
Covered by stains and mossy molds
My trunk
My leaves
Withstood every storm that they would see
Old, when one should be so young
A withered tree lives inside of me
