Withered With The Scent Of A Rose Poem by Dennis Go

Withered With The Scent Of A Rose

Withered with the scent of a rose...
Time sees it moving at a slow, slow pace.
A quick glance ignites the frozen soul,
Shivering the spine with a sudden friendly change.
For whosoever sees it coming so fast
Would lose his tracks and seek the truth,
About the rose that grows in a severed garden
And the feelings that flow deeply in our youth.

Withered with the scent of a rose...
Triggering the fire quenched all these years.
With whom the waves of life fall tame
And chase the shadows of somber dreams.
Among where immortals reign supreme,
The essence of life seems lame and blind.
But now all's well as seasons change
For the scent of the rose is in your smile.
