Without Appetite Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Without Appetite

Heaven
As to be called then
When we totally make
And keep the land intact

Where people move freely
And express opinion independently
For the right cause and movement
And to live peacefully at present

That should be the drive
And make people to believe
In future program
So as to involve them

Nothing moves
When we stop
But makes progress
When we provide access

Who will count?
And what shall it amount?
If we lived longer
But without appetite or hunger

Even animals fill their belly
But what is their worth really!
If we also do the same
There is nothing left to feel shame
