Without Discernment Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Without Discernment

I’ve pondered long, I’ve pondered hard,
To find the words and rhymes to write
In this my new poem today,
Which I’ll put upon this site tonight.

Letters and Words flow in my Brain,
To form in lines and verse again,
With my pen poised and paper near,
My Mind goes slowly through the gears.

Two verses I’ve already written,
As thoughts through my Mind quicken,
To come through pen to paper now,
Without me thinking ~ How?

Why do I not concentrate?
My pen across paper does escalate,
When I am in writing mode,
The poem gets writ, while I read aloud.

This poetic nonsense that I’ve put
Onto this sheet of paper here,
Shows how most of my poems are wrote,
Without discernment, without care.
