Without One Thought To Resent Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Without One Thought To Resent

Rating: 5.0

Not playing hard to get.
Not playing at all.
Or hardly interested.

Waiting for a response sent,
With sincerety felt and meant unanswered.
Left a decision to make that was done.
Waiting around like a dog in a pound,
For someone to discover...
This heart was like no other?

Not playing hard to get.
Not playing at all.
Opened the door to explore other opportunities!
That's the only obligation,
Now followed with content...
Without one thought to resent!
Or an action that lends itself to doubt.

Stalling a life that's liked,
To be toss about by thoughtlessness...
Carried about is out!

Bitterness and pouting...
Shouting in anger fits?
Who needs it?

No time for that foolishness that traps,
Or considered a doormat...
For someone to leave crap tracks!

The steps laid being made in a forward pace,
Are not moving backward to be regretted or retraced!
