Without Saying Goodbye Poem by Jay Lude

Without Saying Goodbye

Without Saying Goodbye
(This is a song for all our troops)
By
Jay Lude

(Verse 1)
I use to have a neighbor
A poor broken hearted man
Who lost his wife and two children
On that date 911

Without saying Goodbye (2x)

He always told me stories
Bout the games they use to play
But he always seemed to choke up
Remembering how they died that day

Without saying Goodbye (2x)

(Chorus)
The day the towers fell
We saw a glimpse of hell
Innocent lives were taken
Without the chance to tell

Had no chance to try
Without the chance to cry
Taken right from this world
Without saying Goodbye (2x)

(Verse 2)

He said they didn’t find the bodies
They were buried under clay
When a plane crashed into the Tower
And their lives were blown away

Without saying Goodbye (2x)

His wife was a great mother
She was also his best friend
Their love will continue to grow
Though her life’s come to an end

Without saying Goodbye(2x)

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)

One day I got a phone call
The lady spoke real fast
But I made out the words she said
Old Man James had passed

Without saying Goodbye (2x)

(Chorus 2)

I was crying Boo Who
Didn’t know what to do
I guess God just couldn’t wait
Any longer for you

That’s the price you pay
For living that way
The loss of you made me remember
What happened that day

(Chorus 1)
