Woman Poem by Chrysandra Wesley

Woman

She carries the weight of the world and of her family,
In a heart ruled by love, honor and duty.
She is the emblem of strength, power and loyalty,
Her ability to care for others so deeply
Is a sign of he true beauty.

Though her burdens may be heavy,
And her feet may be weary,
She goes through life with burdens a many.
Never asking for help, and accepting little if any.

Yet, what is she what man may be mindful of her?
She is more than a wife, a friend and a lover.
Much more than a cook, a cleaner or a mother.
She is God's greatest gift to man
Not to use, abuse and refuse
Just to love her!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired by my oldest sister Joanne, who does all she can to be the best mother, wife and sister that she can be. But unfortunately all her efforts often goes unnoticed by her husband, children and until recently even me.

This poem is sweet :) It reminds me of the song Tough by Gary Allan. Beautiful :)
