Woman With White Wings Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Woman With White Wings

Woman with white wings
who do bury her old babies
Only to hear a virgin cry
On her arms of care,
Each of your children went
Away with my slumbering friends
They went afar away
Along with my treasured ones
Who bid me no bye
Fore they wedlock with earth
They went afar away
To a land full of blue
Invisible to me and you

Woman with white wings
Well born a new bairn
Whose breath is numbered
On your clapping wings
Where are the gifts
With which your child came
Let’s have ours today
Before Santa Claus returns
With merry merry songs
