Woodland Sprite Poem by Rik Bertrand

Woodland Sprite

Beauty so devasting, there are no words,
The woodland sprite, has taken my breath away
The protector of all that wanders into the trees
She brightens the darkest night and all the day.

Oh my, how such a delight can be as she is.
Her glow radiates through the vast woodlands,
Bringing color and elegance to natures creatures,
She has the touch of life and love in her hands.

This woodland sprite does not ponder beauty,
With every breath she exhales it through the air
She creates the lavish lavender lust of life,
That we see each time we traverse through her lair.

Oh, for one chance to kneel in her presence,
To honor her, to cherish her, to feel the revelation
She is one of the Lords special creations to preserve life
Yet her beauty is still a man's weakness for temptation.
