There is no way to stem the hurt you feel now
I wish there were
I wish there were some way, too, I could show you how
You gave your love to her

It comes but once and it is first
When hold it does your heart
And when it leaves each day is the worst
Because you are apart

If feel your pain, I see the hurt
My heart goes out to you
Now plays your tune in solo concert
A song of moody blue

Only time will heal the pain
Time, and talk and tears
Until the time when once more you find
Her love to calm your fears

Persevere, go on, move forward and live
And embrace tomorrow’s new day
That to you it might a gift to give
To her, “I’m sorry” you would say
