Words Of Wisdom Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Words Of Wisdom

If you are standing there wondering why life passed you by,
then you need to get back up on that horse,
and go chasing that ever elusive sunset.
Don’t just stand there you are wasting what precious little time you have…
Now go, Run, I say
Grab the preverbal bull by its horns and hold on tight,
if you don’t you might get run through.
I don’t know what more I can tell you to get you to move and act.
You know that saying “ Life every moment like it’s your last” well damn it, take it with a grain of salt and go with it,
quit faltering at every slightest obstacle.
Let me tell you something about life,
it isn’t always what it seems.
A lot of the times it drags you down into a bottomless pit of despair and fear as it may seem bottomless,
this is not so.
Grab your fear by its delicate little throat and strangle it.
Life will only be what you chose it to be and if fate has thrown you a wild card that leaves you broken and bleeding,
do your best to piece yourself back together and keep trudging through that trench with your head ducked low until you can find that slice of sunshine in your gloomy day.
Now all this alone might not make a lot of sense but put all these little pieces of wisdom together and you have some sound advice.
