Words written, will stand the test of time
Words spoken, will probably leave your mind
Words written, shows forethought, intent and effort
Words typed, lack warmth, unique hand writing and the sort

Words written, can remind you of the time
that the writer had you on their mind
Words spoken, sound good for awhile
but will be pushed out by life's daily desire
Words written, will always be there for you to read
even when just a reminder of them is all you need
Words typed, can relay a message or concern
but there is one thing you wont be able to learn

That the writer only has their memory
of what they wrote that day
As they pulled from their heart
exactly what to say
Only you have the privilege of having
exactly their thoughts they wrote
And that is most likely why
you greatly cherish that note.
