Work Till You Drop Poem by Phil Ward

Work Till You Drop

Rating: 5.0

Work till we drop, work till we drop,
We all carry on and we work till we drop,
The roofs got a leak; the cars got a dent,
The money they cost were the savings that meant,
To provide for a break that you need to come down,
From intensive living and expected to drown,
Out the stress and the trauma over the weeks and the years,
Through the let-downs, disappointments the sorrows and tears,
Some of us make it; it’s a test we go through,
No second chance but a time to review,
If we’re able to finish the life we began,
In a manner of dignity, honour and san…,
…ity on to the end we’ll drive ourselves mad,
It’s a story of life sometimes ending so sad.
