***world So Cruel*** Poem by Kristofer Kries

***world So Cruel***

Bloody footprints

on snowy beaches.

What once was red

will all turn black.

This world is

so cold and cruel.

What once was good

will fade in the night.

Distant eyes

and shattered lenses.

Dead leaves

and shattered dreams.

These dark days

of Autumn rain,

the desolate deserted trees,

the birds are gone,

the worlds gone grey.

Heavy earth

and faded sky.

Let them silently toss.

Close the windows,

no singing now.

We hide from the wind,

behind closed eyes.

This world is

so cold and cruel.

What once was good

will fade with the night.

My darker mood,

leaning against.

Trying to hear

in the dark.

Late in life,

we have no one.

None left at all.

Life comes too late.

The world has drank

too rapidly,

that fateful poisen.

The sun is dead,

life exstinguished.

Theres no hope left,

just close your eyes.

This world is

so cold and cruel.

What once was good

will fade with the night.

This world is

so cold and cruel.

What once was good

will die with the night.
