World War Ii (Friends) Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

World War Ii (Friends)

Instead of waving and walking away
I silently upt and left
Instead of coming back to play
This decision was made permanent
I'm a million miles away gone afar
That's why i never left you with a goodbye
I didn't want to give you the impression
I would return
After the past few months
arguing, fighting, etc
I was a problem wasn't I?
Not quite. I was too much for you to handle
You were too weak to deal almost as if I were a bullet that pierced your heart
I'm the very thing that killed you
As I watched you bleed
I took a step away
you weren't a 'friend' you were the enemy
we were never side by side
you secretly were envious of me
you aligned yourself with others who shared your opinion... Might be four of you but I'm an army of one and I devoured you all. I'm an unstoppable force of nature, hurricane M.
You feared me because you felt inferior to me
I'm the greatest who ever walked this earth
and you wanted for one day to walk in my shoes
You need to be loved while I am loved
I'm infectious like the flu, no problem making friends but it's goodbye to you and your mess world war II I just put to an end
