Worlds Together And Apart. Poem by Stephen S. Yeandle

Worlds Together And Apart.

Ask me not why I dwelled
on the smoky mountain;
and now live once again by the sea.

You will only see me smile,
wordlessly.

But I will tell you this my friends;
my soul is free and unrestrained
by reality.

Saltwater bubbled from the mountain spring.
Dolphin and Blue Marlin swam with seagulls overhead,
down my mountain stream.

Now dogwoods blossom
from the clouds just off the coast for me.

Log cabins float on ocean tides
and the black bear and I
walk side by side,
down the fishing pier.

I am neither here nor there,
a world within am I...

some things become such an integral part of us we carry them with us no matter where we are. i always wanted to write a poem like that, but you did it for me. Beautiful, dreamy piece. A perfect way to start that day. Cheers, Masha
