Worthless Poem by Dolan Doran

you sit there and
tell me I’m worthless
yet you’re the one with
no heart, no soul,
no pity for
those who need it.
I’m willing to risk it all,
my heart, my mind, my life,
all for you- so you can
rest easy at night, while I
stay restless, alone.
in the darkness that surrounds
me at night, I have no one.
No one to help me, not like you.
yet still I try.
I give it my all, put
everything into it.
So think, think back, and
never forget who’s really
worthless.
