Wounds Don’t Heal Poem by Jennifer Cook

Wounds Don’t Heal

My wounds don’t heal,
Get real that I have to deal with this,
Known as the girl that got hurt,
Known as a nobody,
My wounds haven’t even covered or be healed,
Its just a memory I understand that,
But my wounds haven’t heal yet,
Knowing that I was raped, hurt, broken hearted, feeling lonely,
But I am not lonely no more I have someone that’s there for me and I understand that the fact that he loves me and I love him,
Even thou only time can tell,
But did time fixed my wounds,
Did time fixed the hurt I feel,
No I don’t think so,
I feel as if I where a ghost,
Ghost of the past,
My wounds might heal but the past haunts me.

Life is a journey of healing. The subject of this poem has experienced much pain, and hopefully the healing continues. Well done, good poet. :)
