Wounds Of Winter Poem by moon dust

Wounds Of Winter

Rating: 4.5

Evening tanned by the sun sinking to meet the sea
Sizzling hot sand now cooled to the touch
Greets the still warm breeze
Sparkling waters, mooncast and still
Reaching to my eye it seems no end
Lying in the sand, gazing at the stars
All the wounds of winter seem to mend
Gypsy free as it feels
Swim with me into the shadows
Away from everything and everyone
Move with me in this huge open sea until we become one
Cool nights alone with you
Loving on the shore
Worlds of trouble so far away
Spirits around us soar
You and I we are like the sea
I the waters and you the greeting shore
Gently we meet as one
In the evening tanned by the sun.
