Wretched Feathers Poem by Chester Maynes

Wretched Feathers

Wretched feathers
Left stained from
Broken past of history
Let crime be gone
And in a state of oblivion
Is the Hitler’s passion
When humanity executed
Without blame
Great laughter of devils
Echoes until now
In many decade of years
Gory remembrance
Haunts the departed beloved
I say, “let me bury”
For too long to let go
The pain and the hurt
Let me end this
With intercession and prayer
