Writer's Block Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Writer's Block

I find myself
curiously staring
at blank loose leaf
wondering why
It isn't filled
with my poetic words

It is an random
and unpredictable orrurance
an overwhelming bizzare situation
with no foreseeable end

The curse of the left brain
has struck me again
I sit down to will my magic pen
and without warning my mind goes blank
My brain attacking itself
bent on a secret revenge

inspired and aged thoughts
are securely locked away
in the drawer of my mind
unable to be set free

I am at a feirce war
with my cluttered mind
desperately fighting
for a truce
begging and pleeding
for my inspiration to be set free

Curse you writer's block
you have won this battle
But surely I will win the war
and have my passion returned to me
