Writing Layers Takes Time Poem by Terence George Craddock

writing out unwrapping
layers of mind thoughts
tracing down fleeting ideas

layers takes time...
'trying to find some time
for any kind of writing,
even if superficial,
had some very good non superficial
ideas this morning
i hope they won't flee
from me these thoughts
that sometimes do me seek'

yes I also constantly
have very good ideas
no time to write them out

frustrating
yes I know these thoughts well
fleeing back into shadows

I am sitting on the floor
not floored by circumstances
not desiring to disappear

desiring quality quiet time writing
