x..... The Umbrella Tree

Near a hotel pool, close to the sea
Stands proudly, this huge umbrella tree
Its thick branches, far and widely spread

Gorgeous. I see the flowers falling for a brief moment of pure bliss before they die. The tree continues to bloom just as we do. Just as we will after our brief moment of life. Very well written, very well expressed once again the spirituality of life even in a tree with flowers. But that is how God created all things. To be enjoyed for the brief moment we are here. It is a lovely poems with scenic beauty, finally conveying the profound message...our body is mortal like flowers fallen from umbrella tree but our soul may revisit the world. Great poem. I rate it 10++. (Report) Reply

My mind fills with thoughts of my own mortality
How long will my body, my mind still be?
But my body and mind are not what makes up me.
I am my soul, which after death will be free
I think it may still come back to see
    This miraculously beautiful umbrella tree.

So beautifully written, and very touching too, in a very magnificiant way you have said really moved me.. Enjoyed reading and hope to read more poems from you... (Report) Reply
