Y'All Don'T Know Me Poem by Bailey Wright

Y'All Don'T Know Me

Y'all think you know.
Y'all picked, hated,
And y'all judged,
But y'all don't know me.
Sure I was the nerdy girl,
The girl who was weird,
But y'all don't know
My life's story.
Y'all don't know me.
I've accomplished more,
More than y'all ever could.
I let y'all run over me,
And take my rightful place,
But the truth is y'all don't know me.
Once I called many of y'all my best friends,
I learned I couldn't trust
A backstabbing liar.
All because y'all did take the time to know me.
Y'all were quick to through me out,
But one day y'all will wish,
Y'all took the time to get to know me.
That's alright though,
Because y'all don't know me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This a story about my actual life through middle school and 9th grade. I went to a very small school in a small town and the people there were very mean to me because I wasn't native to the town. Actually my 6th and 7th grade year there I had the 2nd highest average in all my class but another girl got my spot because she was a native of the town. I was always treated pretty unfairly at this school but I always did my best and I am still rocking.
