Yakima Women? Poem by Larry Porter

Yakima Women?

I'm a Yakima women
Blood doesn't lie
I'm a Yakima women, that all I am

My mother is a Yakima women
You all know that's true
My father was a Yakima man
You know that to

My father is my mother's brother! !

I'm and abomination to you
But I'm a Yakima women
Thru and thru

Who will be my family
That's all I need
Even and abomination
Belongs somewhere
Isn't that true

My blood is and abomination
To the nation
I know that's true

But I belong to you
We share blood you know that's true
I'm a Yakima women
And I'm in agony
Just like you
To the nation I know that's true
