Yearning Poem by Kelvin Owusu

Yearning

Rating: 4.8

We all yearn for it
but never in the right place
when it's in front of us
we dream about it but nightmares do occur
as reality approaches
our vision gets blurred
always looking but never really seeing
once it's seen, it's just placed
in the lost and found

I find this a good poetic definition of yearning which I think is true. Not all yearnings are fulfilled. Often they are lost or get blurred. You may follow up this sweet entry with a poem on dreams which come true.
