Years Of Experience

Incessant still hell’s demons prowl
Planting their master’s seed
Whereby man’s heart grows stinking foul
When on such fruit they feed

With deadly wares disguised as light
In luscious robes so sweet
Presenting those with limited sight
Persuading them to eat

Thousands of years on earth they’ve strolled
Maturing each in skill
Learning the weakness of the fold
Seeking God’s flock to kill

Accomplished countless on the loose
Experience, hides in wait
Hunting for whom they may seduce
To share in hell their fate

So thieves grow rich and harlots thrive
The swindler prospers well
Scum of the earth seems to survive
Without a thought of hell

Others believe they’re safe and sound
Hidden away from harm
Only to fail on higher ground
Succumbed to Satan’s charm

To rich man poor man wise man fool
Despondent and content
To urchin waif and those who rule
The devil’s brood is sent

Yet righteous eyes are open wide
God’s hand is ever near
Protecting Jesus’ chosen bride
And whom His Son revere…
