Yellow Mocking-Bird - Poem by Gabriela Duricova

A chain of milestones
Fractured into laces
A yellow mocking-bird
Is keeping their accounts

My feet are singing
Road is running
To meet its fate and take a sneak peek
Beyond the shoulders of giants

Their silhouettes cast mist on
The moisture of sweet valleys
A myth to love of men
Who come for mining gold

River keeps flowing
Days black and freckled like your love
Shine through the cloudscape
Dividing doves into feathers

Bliss testified and multiplied
By clock ticking too loud
With that you tend to argue
Over our time it steals

Our hands are touching
Although my present is your past
Colours of your taste usually
Just find me lost for words

You speak of rust that flourishes
And happiness that burns
Among bright heaven's souvenirs
Watching over our nights

Finally tongues are dancing
Charmed by midnight sensation
A long-prayed-for salvation
For who gaze love in the eyes
