Yes, I Do Poem by Maureen Alikor

Yes, I Do

Replying yes,
to the mouth watering question,
relays a lot of unsaid words to the human mind.

Yes says,
I give you my today,
my tomorrow
and my past is not left out.

Yes says,
I give you my imperfections;
and perfections alike.

Yes says,
I give you half my time,
and more.

Yes says,
I give it all to you,
Yes says,
I give you my trust,
and all my fears.
Yes says, I am drawn to you,
in every way,
in your highest highs,
and your lowest lows.

Yes says,
take my future;
and mold it to your choice.
Yes says,
I am blind to your past,
and Yes says, I accept your today,
and your tomorrow.

Yes says,
words our mouths won't utter.

Its a three letter word,
its power and might,
mars and makes.

Mars visions,
Makes Dreams real,
Mars lives,
and makes men and women alike.
