Yesterday, I Thought Of You Poem by Paul Jonathan Stertz

Yesterday, I Thought Of You

Today is the day; now is the time...
Yesterday's gone-not worth a dime.
But I spent today in a haze of blue,
Because yesterday, I thought of you.

I'm focused on my earthly plans,
I use my mind and toil with my hands.
But now and then I stop to brood,
And yesterday, I thought of you.

I didn't remember you once today,
I'm living my life; you're not here anyway.
But today I awoke and somehow I knew
That yesterday, I thought of you.
