Yesterday Never Does Come Poem by Arwa Bharmal

Yesterday Never Does Come

You are the standing hourglass embracing time,
Having slipped from shared control, part was mine.
You are in the distance of shining bright light,
Amongst misty air, visible but blurring in sight.
You are the cradle with the gentle quick rock,
Smiles and calmness you held, but lost to my shock.
You are the memory, to whom I have been loyal,
Pillow of warmth, the feeling seemed so comfortable.
You are the hopes and interests full of future success,
Ambitions today holding me down in depress.
You are the quilt of softness and it is too small,
Unable to hold me close, not like old times at all.
You are the delicate white rose with love and purity
It is known though there are thorns, there is beauty.
You are the door I knew not I did leave it open;
Realizing it is not only happiness I have willingly chosen.
You are the picture frame still accepting remembrance,
As we try and complete every unfinished sentence.
You are the hand for I did but do reach forever,
No longer near, left me here, still in fear, a waiting tear.
