You Poem by Phoenix Blood

You

Rating: 4.0

You're something I can't catch
You're someone who I can't fetch
You find ways to get out of my reach
Remember the day on the deadly beach?

I thought you were a shooting star
Bringing lucks by being extremely far
I guess I was wrong - Rather a meteor
On that night, turning it even creepier

Once upon a time, you were my life
Until I realized in my midlife
I had taken that blade instead of you - the knife
I'm hoping to meet you in afterlife

Those were the thoughts before
But I guess I changed my mind even more
Either now or later
I'll make sure to leave a crater

What you had done that day was unexpected
It was way more than being disrespected
Well I don't care about you anymore
As if you never existed before

I won't apologize for a thing I said
So don't expect me to bend down on my knees in dread
A goodbye to you and to our relationship
I would describe this relation as a comic strip

You

Wow! I really like this poem and the way you connected one thing to another! It's sad, though... betrayal has become something common these days... but good job and well done!
