You And I Poem by Vance Gilmore

You And I

If you are a thunderstorm
I am the rain
As you are the garden
I water once again.

If I am the rain cloud
You are the lightening
That splits the sky
As we go down.

I want you to come back home.
I want you to know
I never wanted you to go.
You've got to believe

I never wanted you to leave.
Don't be afraid that you've let me down.
I love you
And I want you to be around.

You are part of my soul.
Please come back home.
If you are the wind
I am a cloud

I really wish you wouldn't always be so proud.
If you are a river, I am the sea.
Baby please
Come back to me.
