You Do Not Care Poem by Gentle Kisses

You Do Not Care

You do not care what happens to me.
This you have shown, and taught me to see.
you called me the devil and this is not true,
For I carry love in my heart, only for you.
I know this because my heart is so sad,
Without you the pain, it hurts so bad.
Love is not something that just fades away,
It burns and it hurts me every minute of every day.
My tears stream down, flowing in a race.
You heart cold and hard, you laugh in my face.
My heart is like a flower, withering in the sun.
Nothing can stop you, You only know to run.
A promise of forever, For better or worse.
Another promise broken, replaced by a curse.
Words made of vomit, they spew and they spew.
Feelings of love, I have not felt from you.
An illusionist am I, the wool in my hand.
My eyes I do cover, because you’re my friend.
You dig and you dig, question and accuse.
You tell ME I’m evil then say my words abuse.
Responsibility is mine, but only half the time.
Together, we danced, I was yours, you were mine.
If just once, you would take a moment to see,
All of the problems and disagreements were not me.
Then maybe you would care, maybe you would see.
I have stood by you and been warned of what you use to be,
You have shouted of my evils, manipulations and greed’s.
If I have made you become what you are,
Why is your hate so deep in your heart?
I have stood before man, been judged and set free.
God's blood has washed me, His love why can't you see.
You have pushed me right over, again and again.
You have stomped on my heart, the blood redder then red.
But yet I still stand here, with love in my heart.
As you shout out 'i hate you' and tear me apart.
So when you shout out 'your satan' try to remember this,
My heart houses Jesus, and your hearts a miss.
There is just one promise that I will hold true.
I will carry you with me, I will always love you.
