You Don't Know Me Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

You Don't Know Me

You don't know me
You say you do
But do you really
Is what you see true

You don't know me
Perhaps you've seen my face
Or heard me sing
But that's just part of me
And not everything

You don't know me
But you want to be
One who claims indeed
To be just like me

Standing around you stair
With a smile you claim you care
Your feelings your willing to share
But if I'm in need of a favor you're never there

You don't know me
And never will
And in the end
I see you're not a real friend
