You Have A God To Believe In Poem by Francis Duggan

You Have A God To Believe In

You have a God to believe in with me that is okay
And with your family you go to your house of worship for to pray
But does this make a better person out of you
And to your higher self are you one who is true
For non believers and those who worship a God other than your's you say damnation await
That they will not be allowed inside heaven's gate
You pass judgement on others and that is quite wrong
Whilst you pray to and praise your God in hymn and song
By your arrogant ways your God you deny
Judge not and thou shalt not be judged to you too apply
In a genuine Godlike person compassion not hard to find
But you do not appear to me as of that kind
You say your God is the one true God but it does seem to me
That plenty out there with you would disagree.
