You Left Me

You left me once before
You saw me in the street
You looked across to me
And then down to your feet
It felt like my world had ended
The one thing I knew was gone
On you, I'd always depended
Now I'll have to stay strong
Why did you leave me behind?
Why did you make me cry?
I thought I was your princess
But was that just another lie?
