You Must Have Been Away Poem by Ronald Strickland

You Must Have Been Away

Rating: 3.0

Today I spoke of my love for you.
But you must have been away.
I talked of the stars
and how they seem to be so secure
in the Heavens
as my love for you.
But you must have been away.
I saw the lovely flowers
that had bloomed,
saying they bloomed
like my love for you.
But you must have been away.
I wonder when we are together,
if you ever hear me say you are my world,
because you are always in a place,
and always gone away.
You may never know of my true love,
my dear,
you may listen,
but you never hear.
You are always gone away.
