You, My Special Friends Poem by Adisty Mulianty

You, My Special Friends

I woke up this morning
With usual stiffness and weariness in my body
With usual sickness in my stomach
With usual “morning call” from my mom
With all the same things

Except
I was smiling
I was happy
I was relieved

And its all because of you
You, who accept me as who I am
You, who still remind me as who I was before and who I am now
You, who still care

Thousand smiles and hundred hugs
Longing emotion flashes
Stories flood in
No rejection
Nor hesitation

With this words
I enclose my gratitude
To You guys
My dear friends

With this words
I also enclose my gratefulness
To God
For given me: you, as my friends
