You’re A Fine One Poem by David Harris

You’re A Fine One

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes a simple hello or hi
can put a smile back on the face
of someone whose taken
the wrong turn on life’s highway.
You stand at a doorway
with lots of people passing by
and you wonder how many
will stop and say Hi.
Not many in our busy world,
they are all too preoccupied
in the work that they have to do
to stop for a moment
and say Hello to you.
But woe be tide the moment
when help they want from you.
Then they will be stopping by
to say hello to you,
they won’t be too busy at all.
When they need your help
they know just who to call.
If you refuse what would they say?
You’re a fine one
when a friend needs you.
Forgetting all the times
when they could not spare a minute for you.
