You'Re All I'Ve Got Tonight Poem by Justin Gildow

You'Re All I'Ve Got Tonight

You're all I've got tonight
And I'm not even going to kid myself
about that
Not even joke about it
I won't fool myself
Because I realize
You're all I've got tonight

So how do we pass the time
Which is going by so slowly
Which is making us bored out of our
minds

We could slowdance
We could drink champagne
Or even add in a little wine
We could wish on stars
We could count the many cars
Which are left alone on the street
We could wait for the incoming rain
Which is coming from not far away

In the meantime
For right now at least
I'm yours
You're mine
And regardless of how this night
will turn out
On this very night
You're all I've got tonight
And I'm not going to complain
If all it does tonight is rain
