You'Re Gone Poem by Tammie Thrasher

You'Re Gone

Rating: 5.0

I pass people in the hall all day long
But not you, you’re gone

You’re not sitting in those lounge chairs
You’re not passing me going up the stairs

You’re nowhere to be found
You’re nowhere around

You’re not sitting by Dillan at breakfast
You’re not making me laugh while I'm taking a test

You’re not outside playing hacky sack
You left and didn’t look back

You’re across the country
You’re making me feel like you forgot about me

You’re not answering your phone
You’ve moved on

I pass people in the hall all day long
I wish just one time I could see you, But you’re gone!

A fantastic poem mourning for the departed friend whom you are not hopeful of meeting again. Tn marks to the wailing heart to get healed.
