You'Re Still Not Here Poem by Lacey Saulisbury

You'Re Still Not Here

Did you ever care to

bare with me?

To stay with me?

You promised you'd protect me,

But you cant ever except

the fact that, I know your lies.

And these eyes watch you.

They stare you down,

down into the last layer of hell,

where you left me,

to fend for myself.

You promised to protect me,

When I screamed your name for help.

But where were you?

come out from the shadows, I asked,

But you were too callow to be what I needed.

I needed you, YOU the protection.

the armour of me,

that turned to poison,

which clinched to my skin,

making me cringe

in agony.
