You’re To Blame Poem by Nancy Chanthakoun

You’re To Blame

Two separate worlds keep us apart
The different lives we live mask our hearts
True emotions run though our veins
All hope fails when you’re gone
Last words unspoken yet known
Pain ripples through taking all in it’s path
Dull eyes shed tears breathing in one more breath
Tight throat closes, blood seeps out
Bright lights guide your way
Leaving all behind, dreams destroyed
One last smile for this world
The one you’ve know all your life
Since you took your first breath and now your last
Taking your soul up into the sky
Away from the oblivion, the chaos, the mess
That you have created
