You Retreated Poem by V P Mahur

You Retreated

You came again
Tip toed into my heart
You broke the promise
Not to make a dart
Into my numb soul

You entered again
Into the lake of my eyes
You forgot your words
That you estimated my love
To be a game foul

You laughed again
Into the silence of my soul
You retreated your resolution
Not to give me
Even your worst scowl

Now you will see
That I am not the first one
To break the words
I will follow you as well
and I never forget your
Loveful bowl

The first 3 stanzas are very pessimistic but the last one is bold and optimistic where you display your determination. Good write.
