You Saved Me Poem by Jessie Marie Ray

You Saved Me

There was nothing left for me in this life
All I ever wanted was to be his wife
I lost track of all time and space
I couldn’t even get rid of his face
I wandered around
In the darkness I had found
I let myself begin to fade away
I let my self disappear day by day
When I had paid the biggest cost
When I thought all was lost
You came along and took my hand
You had saved me from the damned
I am so happy with you by my side
I am so happy it you that I can confide
There is nothing worse then loosing a love
But just as everything is gone, god sends a gift from above
