you see that sky
upon it shines
a heavenly light,
and sits alight upon
our many days.


you see that bird,
maybe its wings and feathers
are our love,
of a time,
when we were wild.

you see that tree
it's leaves are growing
and the fruits it bears
are our memories.

you feel that wind
and that rain
upon your skin
it immortalizes our life.

you see that
child holding onto her father
that was you and me once
when the world held wonders
upon our earth.


you see,
what i had
and what you had
were all the same
lived through different times.
