I don't know why I do this.
I don't know why I try.
Every time I see you
I have to try not to cry.

Your eyes pulled me in
and my heart won't let you go.
It's hard for me to say this.
It's hard to let you know.

I can't go a minute
without thinking of you.
Everyday I have flashbacks
of memories between us two.

At night I lie down
and dream of your face.
And whenever we're together
you make my heart race.

You still make me laugh
and smile when I need it.
You still show you care
but you act like you quit.

You still try not to look at me
with that sparkle in your eye.
But as I look your way
It looks like you didn't want to say goodbye.

You still act the way
you did when you liked me.
I wish things could go back
to the way they used to be.

I wish you would hold me
and tell me things are fine.
Then look me in the eyes
and tell me you're all mine.
